January One Little Word: In Progress

I'm starting this project very simply and may change it as I go along. For right now, I'm just using papers and supplies from the OLW digital kit and I plan on printing the pages out and putting them inside a physical 6x8 album every month.
The word I'm focusing on this year is breathe. My family and I have been through a lot of trauma and turmoil over the past five years or so and this past year was a doozy. I want to focus on slowing down my thoughts and reactions and breathe just came into my head when I was thinking about it.

I think I'm going to do an intro page for every month and, for January, I simply made a list of who I am and how I feel this month. And a sidenote - most of you reading this will likely know me and so my last name is no surprise. However, my kids are out of the house leading their own lives now and almost done with school. They don't need their mom's blog to show up if someone googles them, so I'm going to keep my last name and exact location private for now.

These are the definitions of breathe that really stood out to me. Pausing to breathe through my reactions, pausing to think, pausing to rest, releasing tension, to be freed from worry and anxiety - it all goes along with my goals and where I find myself in life right now. Learning to live again after full-time parenting and career are over and learning to live with less fear after multiple traumas. I'm excited for it all!
More pages to come as I go through the month!
